Accelify’s custom AcceliROUTE solution has produced more than $1.2 million in transportation reimbursement revenue for DC’s Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE).
“Medicaid claiming for transportation has been a challenge due to the complexity of integrating and validating data between OSSE and the District of Columbia Public Schools,” said Charles W. Jackson, Deputy Chief of Operations, District of Columbia Public Schools Office of Special Education. “Accelify has provided an effective solution that seamlessly aggregates this information and makes the entire process transparent, allowing OSSE to fully understand where revenue revenue is, and is not, coming from. DCPS and OSSE are very pleased with the results.”
AcceliROUTE imports ridership data, IEP authorization data, and student data from various sources and compiles a file of eligible transportation services. The system then interfaces with Accelify’s Medicaid claiming management system, AcceliCLAIM, to crosswalk this file against paid claim data for direct services to identify which transportation services were provided on the same day that direct services were provided. The validated transportation services are then built into valid Medicaid claims.
“OSSE faced unique challenges with transportation claiming and as a result was not accessing this critical revenue stream,” said Alex Brecher, CEO of Accelify. “We provided a tool that securely integrates and processes sensitive student data, and we are thrilled with the reimbursement results.”
