March 23, 2011
LOS ANGELES, March 23, 2011 — Accelify, LLC is pleased to announce a new client relationship with Garvey School District. The district has signed a contract with Accelify to handle its Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) and Local Education Agency (LEA) Medi-Cal Billing Option claiming programs. Accelify will begin providing its services in June of 2011.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Garvey School District,” said Accelify COO, Alex Brecher. “Our proven ability to increase Medi-Cal reimbursements will allow Garvey to direct funds to areas of need, and I believe that the district will benefit greatly from the expertise we will bring to the management of its MAA and LEA Medi-Cal Billing Option programs.”
Garvey School District has a robust history having been founded in 1891 in Rosemead, California outside of Los Angeles. The district comprises nine elementary schools and two intermediate schools serving 5,700 students, 43% of whom are English language learners. Superintendent Sandra D. Johnson, Ed.D. has overseen significant achievement gains during her tenure there. In the previous five years, the percentage of students scoring proficient and advanced on the English Language Arts State assessment has increased from 37.6% to 54.6% and in Mathematics from 49.6% to 61.7%. While many California districts have had to increase class sizes due to budget constraints, Garvey has been able to maintain class size consistent with the state average with a focus on continuing reductions in the academically critical lower grades of K-3.
With over 20 years of experience in school-based Medicaid, Accelify provides superior service in order to help school districts and local education agencies take advantage of important Medi-Cal funding programs.
