Accelify Signs Contract with Kerman Unified School District
October 7, 2010
Accelify, LLC is pleased to announce that it will be working with Kerman Unified School District in California to manage the Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) program and the Local Education Agency (LEA) Medi-Cal Billing Option program.
“Kerman Unified School District is excited to be working with Accelify for Medi-Cal billing,” said Kerman Unified School District Superintendent, Robert Frausto. “Our hope is that with assistance from Accelify, we will be able to tap into funds that we have not had the opportunity to obtain in the past. These are tough financial times in the State of California for school districts, and any funds generated through Medi-Cal billing will be a positive infusion.”
Located just outside Fresno, California, Kerman Unified School District serves over four thousand students across six campuses. Kerman Unified is one o f the strongest small school districts in the central valley, with one of its schools recently recognized as a California Distinguished School and California High Achieving Title I School. These awards are given to schools that show exemplary educational programs, and that focus on high expectations, respectively.
“Keeping educational standards high is crucial to supporting our childrens’ success,” said Alex Brecher, COO, Accelify. “Kerman Unified School District’s focus on student achievement is something to be proud of, and we look forward to working with the district on its MAA and LEA Medi-Cal billing option programs. We all recognize that keeping standards high can be difficult when resources are low, which is why we work with districts to help them take full advantage of the Medi-Cal reimbursement programs. When these programs are managed correctly, districts typically see significant increases in their Medi-Cal reimbursements – dollars that have a huge impact on school budgets.”
With more than 20 years of experience with school-based Medicaid programs, Accelify is committed to providing the highest level of service in order to help school districts and local education agencies simplify the claiming process and receive their full shares of Medi-Cal reimbursement revenues. In order to stay at the forefront of educational and Medi-Cal related issues in the state, Accelify has a California Board of Advisors. The members’ diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise provide insight and guidance on industry developments and business strategies as they relate to the complexities of Medi-Cal billing. Current board members include former State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Delaine Eastin; former Assembly Member, Marilyn Brewer; former California Education Secretary and Assemblywoman, Kerry Mazzoni; former Indiana Attorney, General Jeff Modisett; and Dr. Sandy Gilbert, Ed.D. <br /& gt;
