Valley Park School District to Hold Open House to Showcase Renovated Facilities (MO)

The Valley Park School Dis trict is hosting an open house from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the campus, One Main Street.

Residents are invited to tour the district’s newly renovated facilities.

The district is celebrating the completion of a year-long building project made possible by the April 2010 passage of Proposition E, a no-tax-rate-increase bond issue.

Visitors will enter through the doors of the newly-expanded entrance to the Valley Park Field House.

High school students will be available to lead tours upstairs to the weight room that overlooks the varsity gymnasium.

The cafeteria also has been expanded, and air conditioning has been added in the gymnasium and the kitchen area.

Prop E improvements addressed infrastructure needs, including replacing aging, inefficient heating and cooling systems and old, leaking roofs; updating technology in all buildings; and adding lighting in middle school classrooms, hallways and in the main parking lot.
