A group of Rhode Island college students are going the extra mile to help children with mobility issues.
WJAR reports that students at the New England Institute of Technology are taking part in a program called Go Baby Go, which is dedicated to adjusting toys for children with disabilities.
The students spent months modifying toy cars to make them more functional for three local children with complex mobility issues. They studied the children’s movements to assess what adjustments were needed, WJAR reports.
