GREENCASTLE, Pa. — With hopes of improving learning and experience for Greencastle-Antrim High School special education students, each will be getting tablet computers this coming school year.
“The biggest thing we’re hoping is that by having that tablet with them throughout the day they’ll be able to access documents from teachers,” said Robert Crider, chief educational officer. “If the text book needs to be read to them, they’ll be able to use this device to do that.
“It will give them a lot of adaptations they haven’t had before.”
The 1-to-1 tablet initiative will not cost the district anything. The devices will be free from T-Mobile, which is also offering credit for the internet data.
