October is National Bullying Prevention Month and new research suggests that students with disabilities are not only more likely to be bullied, but also more likely to respond to bullying aggressively. Experts are also concerned that kids are using social media not just to cyber bully, but to pick and plan schoolyard fights. In lieu of such issues, we are hosting a webinar on how inclusion and SEL can both play a critical role in bullying prevention. Finally, this week the feds doled out grant money to various education programs, including transition, assessment and literacy initiatives intended to support students with disabilities.
