HUNTINGTON – Children of all abilities and needs will have a place to hunt Easter eggs, after two local organizations teamed up to make it a reality.

The inaugural “Eggciting Egg Hunt” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the all-inclusive playground at St. Cloud Commons, 1701 Jackson Ave.

The event is hosted by the Developmental Therapy Center and the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District, with help from several community partners.

There will be four separate Easter egg hunts, including beeping eggs for children with visual impairments, magnetic eggs and poles for those with motor disabilities and a quiet egg hunt for those with sensory processing difficulties. The evening will end with an egg hunt for everyone, including siblings and any other child who wants to participate.
